A clean well lighted place

Most people have different opinions about people some positive and some negative. Like in the short story called "A Clean Well Light place" by Ernest Hemingway. The story has three characters one focuses on the negative one focuses on the positive and one is the one the focuses is based on. The story reminds me of a saying I once heard. Just because you don't understand some one doesn't mean you should talk negative about them.

The three characters are the young waiter, old waiter, and old man. The young waiter is mean one who doesn't understand the old man and he complains a lot. The old waiter understands the old man and he is nice to him. The old man is a lonely man who spends his nights drink in the shadows . It is interesting because the old waiter always seems to be a ble to turn around what ever young waiter says. The other interesting part is that you can find out about these people even though the book doesn't say. It is sort of a sad because the way the young waiter is so mean to the old man. I is not nice to be mean to some one just because there different they have feeling to. Just by reading the story you can tell how tortured the old man is and the younger waiter is not helping at all.

Maybe the old man was put in there by Hemingway way on purpose so we learn a lesson. Not to bully some one because of how they act. People must learn to be nice to each other. Or he put him there because that is what he thought his future was going to be. Both of them remind of a saying I once heard. Just because some one is different you should be mean to them.

  1. Be careful: your introduction sets up an essay on all three characters, yet you only focus on the young waiter. Do some careful revisions before I score this.
