Speak

Depression is one of the many emotions of normal human beings. It is one of the biggest emotions shown by Malinda. In the book "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson. The book is a vary interesting book the main character is a vary depressed girl. She goes to school like any every one else. Something happened to her over the summer to make her so depressed. Malinda must survive school with all the kids mad at her it will be won long year.

Malinda in the book "Speak" is a vary depressed girl that has no friends going into her freshman year. She is miss understood by many people. The kids think it is all her fault when she actually was just trying to save her self. The reason she is so shy and depressed is because she was raped by Andy Evens at a party. She was scared so she called the police and then the police came came found every one drinking and ticketed then and Andy Evens was free no one knew what happened all they knew was that Malinda called the police. They blamed her for being scared and then she has no freinds and a big problem. Every one hates her she makes a knew friend named Heather she is a vary weird person who will do anything to be perfect. Heather is Melinda's only friend in the beginning of the year.

The book "Speak" is a vary interesting book. Only if you like stories that start depressing with dark humor. Then end happily. The book is filled with story from her past and also memories or thoughts of what she is doing. I personally didn't like but that is my opinion. You should read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. It is a book loved by thousands and even more are interested in the book and its symbols.
